On the RX1 Mountain every third window on the track is closed. Are most people punching out the windows or buying new tracks when installing the anti-ratcheting drivers?

I think it's 50/50. Some are having the track punched and clipped and others are going longer with the anti-ratchets since their there.

A buddy and I are checking into making aluminum billet anti-ratchet drivers with spring loaded teeth for the track windows. That way the track doesn't have to be changed or cut. What do you think?

Sounds like a great idea. Have you figured it out yet?

RX-1MTN, I have had the QC-1 for the past 600 mi. I have not heard the GP-1 but have heard that is definately a race only exhaust system and is way to loud for the trails and hills.

BlgsRX-1mtn, thanks for the input the only reasons I orderd it was for the weight savings of course and I got it for cheap straight from White Knuckle so I couldn't really pass it up!! He said it wasn't much louder than MPI's loud version so we will see!!
Thanks again RX-1MTN

You don't need to add the clips if you have the track punched. You're adding rotating mass, and the track will live just as long and work just as well (you need to watch HyFax wear though).

I have contimplated this. When I do this, not any time soon, I will sell the original track on E-bay, AM snow, etc, and buy a fully clipped track. A friend of mine did this and actually made $25.00 in the process. Yes, he sold his track for more than it cost to buy a barely used 151" X 2.25" fully clipped finger track. I would say that is the way to go. One other thing, he sold the track in one day. Not bad.
