Doing some research on what I need to make my sled stop ratcheting and could use some advice. I see that Wahl Bros offers a no-slip drive sprocket or they offer the anti-ratchet sprockets.

I have two questions-first-what is everyone else using? I just got my new Cobra track yesterday which is completely open to allow for either one of these options!

If I were to go with the no-slip drivers do I need to keep the center sprockets or can I simply run the two no-slips on the outsides?

Any advice is appreciated!

Ihave a 07 attak with micro-belmont HD shaft, cobra track Whal Bros no slips. Only takes two drivers over the track windows. They drive on the lugs, but protude thru the window to drive there also if track starts to balloon. Works great. Be sure to align the drivers perfect. Also consider a new shaft if you are getting up in miles toward 10,000.....they are prone to cracking around that milage.

I just put a shaft in my 07 Apex from an 2011 Apex with the extro drivers.

Did it fit without modifying it? Tried the same thing but the 2011 shaft was about a 1/2 inch too long. The drivers needed to be pressed off the new shaft and put on the old one.

I cut it off, drilled and tapped new threads in it.

Sleddog66-

What size drivers did you use and did you have to make any modifications to fit the 1.35 cobra track?

I only have 5500 miles on my sled so the shaft should be me by for a couple more years!

Thanks for the advice!!!

sent you a couple p.m.s. But I have 9 inch drivers, no studs, and no modifications. 8 inch may work better for you if you are studding. You will have to reclutch, as the cobra eats some top rpm and some top MPH. 1.5 inch track is about the max fit with no studs on 9 inch drivers
