any info on studding

has anyone heard anything or have any idea how many and what pattern for studding. Are tunnel protectors really nessesary on the phazer. There is lots of clearence between the track and tunnel, and don't forget the big hole. Any info would be great, thanks.

I was told by dealer that Yamaha is working on getting tunnel protectors available. Dealer said that in their recent tech session they asked about it and were told the company that was going to produce them for them went belly up. Who knows.
