I am trying to get my Viper to handle properly and after miles and miles of Bergstoms I am looking for other carbide set ups. The front of my Viper always seems to be stuck to the trail, I can't get it to push if I try. This leads to heavy steering and inside ski lift, similar to but not as bad as my old Nytro XTX. I have always disliked duallys but I bought a Rage 2 years ago that had slim jims and the front handles beautifully. I know the sleds are very different but I am wondering if the slim jims would give my Viper a little push, which at this point would be a welcome change.
I have given snow trackers some thought but it seems like they would make the problem worse on some of the tight club trails I ride--maybe I am wrong about that

For starters what skis are you running?

Ran them last season they had some push in the corners(8") My wife likes them but she doesn't ride aggressive

The arctic cat bearcat carbide set up is very nice on trail for the Viper.
You will be pleasantly surprised if you try them.

From what I have seen and read, the Snow Trackers will do well for you. I put the aggressive units on the Renegade and while I did not get a chance to really ride it she had no complaints (a good thing) and positive things to say about how they turned on the road.

I run 6" Slim Jims on my stock 14 skis and i'm happy with the performance. Little push but not too much and darting is gone. I shimmed the rear of the skis and that made it even better. I do have an XTX though so your results may be different.

Do you have an xtx viper? The 14 xtx is heavy on steering due to a very soft center shock spring. Lots of guys run a stiffer spring and it lightens up steering. There's a big thread on this topic.

I have an LTX with the Hygear center spring set up. I hate to dial in more preload and make it ride stiffer than it already does. The shocks are going to Hygear this week for a revlave, maybe then I can add preload.
