Anybody figure a clever way to carry extra fuel on a short track apex? Dont need much maybe 2-3 gallons. Needs to be able to take a pounding on rough trails and look somewhat cool LOL
I haven't done it but only way I can think would be using saddle bags or finding a clever way to strap a can to the rear bumper but then you block your tail light.
Here is a way, Purchase a Kimpex Jr. fuel pack that they sell for ATV's it could mount to the side of the tunnel as far back as you can go. This gas can holds 1.5gals of fuel, and by adding one to each side it would even the weight out. Plus they can be removed easily when not needed. Have used them on my ATV and also mounted one on a dirt bike where the front number plate is so we can extend the dirt bike range almost 50%. I will be doing this on my Apex soon so I can do some long distance runs up in Canada next season as all the snow is gone for this year. When I do this I will post some pics of the retro-fit.
