Anyone else have a driveshaft problem on a Vector

I am considering buying a replacement used driveshaft on Ebay. It only has 1200 supposed miles on it. It has the cogs and spacers. It is off a 2006 Apex. i am on the fence if I should purshase this used one or buy a new one for my 2005 Vector that has 13,600 miles on it. I am thinking about gambling with this since I am only planning on driving the Vector 1 more season after this one.

Any of you that have replaced the shaft, did you have any issues removing the cogs and then getting the correct spacing of them on the new shaft?

You need a HYDRAULIC PRESS to remove and re-install them, I got my local dealer to do it when I picked up the new shaft...he did it for FREE!

If you want my .02...buy a BRAND NEW shaft, I think YAMAHA have upgraded them to a stronger material...is it worth all the work to save a FEW bucks! like my old man use to say..."do it once, do it right!" don't try cutting corners, it always comes back to HAUNT you when you least expect it! ;)!
