Either way, you would want to lift the sled up (skis off the ground) loosen the spring tensioner until the spring rattles. Tighten the spring up until the rattling stops. Repeat for the other side. Set comp. at minimum, set rebound at min. Adjust from there. If it bottoms, increase comp. if it pogo's back at you, increase rebound. This is assuming of course you have both comp, and rebound adjustability. The main thing is getting springs down. If you blow through the shocks stroke even with the comp. all the way up. You will need to increase preload (tighten spring) a bit.
