I've read abunch of threads about leveling the A arms for better hadling, but my 08 GT has the Ohlins front shocks and the springs are almost fully lose from the factory. Can anyone tell me how to lower the front end with the Ohlins fronts?

I couldn't get mine lowered flat either. Works fine for me as they are now.

x2. Mine are set at full length and work great. Have you pulled up your limiter strap?

You have to get your shocks SHIMMED by a service tech, they have to be taken apart and shimmed by the inside of the shock he shorten the travel by 5/8", I got my GYTR CLICKERS done this year and made a big difference and it doesn't affect your ride quality, check out my avatar...

mine are pretty level... not as good as above pictured, but not bad. Now I am trying to get it to not push through the corners and be so soft. I guess this can be cured through the clickers?

I thought shimming only affected the fully extended shock length? There should be several inches of "sag" in play prior to the arms becoming level, so not sure of the value of that plan? Not sure if having the shocks fully extended with the arms level is a good idea. Thinking if I were in this situation I'd be looking at the free length of the spring, ideally looking for something shorter, same rate? FWIW

All your doing is shortening 5/8" of a inch of travel...your still using the same spring rate...your not shimming 3"!!! this guy has done 1000's with no bad results/issues or I wouldn't of done mine...

level

I've done my ohlins on a 07 rtx and it rails. Just do it, you won't be sorry.
It also sucks up the nastys like nothing else with no hitting bottom and is as smooth as silk.

I get that. What I don't get is how doing this could possibly have any affect on the ride height - unless you were running around with the shocks fully extended, and I know you aren't doing that. Ski springs, ski spring preload, and rear suspension setup control ride height in front.

Getting a "dream ride" out of a set of shocks has more to do with the shock valving - getting it set for you/your riding style. And I agree, doing that worth every cent it costs you!

Where did you have this done? Is this something Pioneer Performance would do for me?

They'd very likely be a good place to do any work you need to have done. Ask them if shimming or "plugging" will do anything to help level your arms....

Might ask if running slightly lower than factory spec. internal pressure might help as well? Other than changing the springs, that's the only thing I can think of.
