anyone know the difference between ecu 8ha to 8gl ???

does anyone know what the difference would be in the nytro ecu from a mtx to a xtx or reg. nytro ,mine has a perment code stuck in the ecu and i cant find a good used one (2008 mtx nytro ) with the dealer sayin the ecu must have 8ha on it ,my buddy has one off a 2010 xtx with 8gl on it ... i dont run hard but dont want to hurt my sled !! would that ecu run my sled ??? any help would be great thks ??

having problems with the ecu firing,not to sure why ,when it does it holds code 34 hard copied in the ecu ??

I have changed the ecu between my two nytros without any problems.

My 08 has a 8HA, and the 09 has 8GL. I would not worry about it.

Couple of years ago, I also noticed the ECU part numbers are different between MTX and other sleds. Upon asking a Yamaha rep in Sweden, the only difference was because of the 12V takeout that can be found on the MTX but not on the shorties. I do not know if this is true, but that is what he told me.
