Just wondering if anyone have tried to make a towhitch for the mtnlite? At the dealer they told me they weren't allowed to put one on them, but i wonder if anyone made a homemade kit and how, what reinforcement it would require? ![Tsr :rocks: :rocks:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/tsr.gif)

What are you trying to pull with it?
We use the simple bumper hitches (Kimpex) that we order from Dennis Kirk to pull the plasic toboggans to and from the cabin. Get the one for $15 that fits a 7/8" bar. We aren't pulling anything that heavy so they work fine. For larger loads you would probably want to find something else.

I don't think that hitch we use would work for that, you may want to check with a local machine/fabrication shop to see if they can custom build something for you.
Or, maybe someone else has another idea.....

could use a trick my dad did for the old enticers. nowadays i would use aliminum but back in the late 70's he would take a 5/32" steel plate and mount it under the seat with the ball mounted past the grab bar on the rear. worked great as i destroed 2 sleighs behind the 78et250 he did and never did any damage to the sled. it was mounted under the back of the seat about 12" on the tunnel with the seat sandwitched on the top. just an idea for you to toss around as yamaha said back then that you couldnt put a hitch on this sled either.

I will be putting a hitch on mine eventually...
I think the BRP hitch will work, the one that bolts down on the top of the tunnel and wraps around the rear bumper.
