Anyone out riding in the UP?

still not much, can ride from bridges south of twin lakes to south range but not worth a long trip for a 30 mile strip of snow. but it is snowing some now but will need a couple of feet to make it good.

Anyone riding the Bergland through the porcupines as of late? I have been getting a lot of mixed ride reports. I was hoping to trailer to Hurley, ride to Wakefield then north through the porcupines. Can anyone tell me if it is worth the trip for the week after the 1st?

It looks like they are getting snow up in Hurley the next several days. Its certainly not any big storms but a few inches here and a few there will def. help whats already on the ground. A group of 4-6 of us are thinking about going up next weekend if they get 5-8" over the next week.

Heading up to Grand Marais, Sunday. ;)!
are you staying in grand marais NICK1945 or are you staying munising.

Staying in Grand Marais, at the Beach Park Motel, close to the gas station.
Jerry ( BIG GUY) will be up also, Monday evening.

I have been riding east of Shingleton and north of Seney to Grand Marais and a little east of there the past couple of days. Have riden a couple of hundred miles. Trails are snow covered with an ice base, so considering the lack of snow elsewhere they are not too bad. Got into Grand Marais for gas no problem. Anything south of M-28 is a no go right now, except around Gwinn. We are supposed to get hit tomorrow and Monday with a lake effect system from the Keweenaw to Grand Marais. We need it bad right now. I plan on riding Sunday and Monday, I will let give an update on snow depths if we get some more.

Nick, maybe I will run into you on the trail over the next couple of days. You can go east to Pine Stump without much trouble, anything east of there I would shy away from right now.
