I was about to put these studs in my Apex GT and compared them against Studboy Powerpoints 1.375". Seems like all the manufacturers measure them differently. The Roetin Hornets are 1.343" and are about 3/16" longer than the powerpoints :o| :die

My question is, will they still be ok to use at that length. I'm afraid for the front heat exchanger since it seems to be made out of same thickness as a soda can. Anyone??

I ran roetin 1.343 on my 2004 rx-1.I added apx 3/16 of extra tunnel protection and had no problems.these studs give slightly more than 3/8 inches of penetration.anything less is useless if you want to play on ice.I have an 06 apex and plan to add 1/8 extra to the protectors and run the 1.343.they are fantastic studs but hard to get in canada.

I ran them on my 05 RX1 and really liked them. I didnt add any extra protection and did see some light scratches under the tunnel but nothing that was going to cause any real danger.

I have had the Roetin hornets on backorder for 2 mounts now, finally gave up. I am installing Woody's Gold diggers 1.450" same installed height as the Hornets.

Rich Motorsports seems to be the only place you can get Roetin studs this year.

If you guys need them i have some.I will be the only one to have them this year. You can order directly online thru my site or give me a call.thanks rich
