If you could go back would you? Pro's and con's to the XTX?

I realize it doesn't have the top end of the 150 Fuelie but I want a lighter better off trail sled and am wondering if Yamaha has what I'm looking for. The new Doo 4 stroke has grabbed my attention......

Well I have very limited time on mine...about 120 miles. I dragged my buddies '09 Apex LTX to 94mph on the dream meter and he was not pulling away at all. Now if we had gone further then obviously he would have eventually, but from a dead stop to 94mph he could not get ahead of me. We both were on 2-3 inches of wet snow without studs on either sled.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the Nytros power output... 8

I had a 2007 Attak and was never happy with the top end, sure on a cold day perfect conditions it would fly to over 120mph but those days where far and few but in the real would I found it only good for a true 100mph. some days it would pull 9500rpms, some 10200rpms, 10500rpms 10800, when I hit 11000 it would fly...the XTX is always running at 8800 to 9200 deep snow or ice...I love it

Now my XTX top end is incredible I was so worried It would be slow but it not, its always there with my buddy Apex GT im 4mph slower than him on top end in real world conditions...Im sure the gap would widen on ice....

Today I was beating my buddy on his Rev 800 XRS on top end and I weight 260lbs to his 190lbs......my top speed ever was 107 on GPS

The ONLY area i miss my Attak over the XTX is in the Studder bumps...that Mono is nice,,,but man I could fly in the mogels with the XTX and its amazing off trail.

now for wind protection the stock sheild sucks, but with the mid sheild and side deflectors its a warmer sled than the Attak my knees frooze on my Attak....

Oh and one last thing, when ya see a bump on the trail hit the gas and the XTX will lift its tips up in the air and jump....that fat tub of an Attak, could get its bumper and inch off the snow.....

I'm Sooooo happy would do it again and again

I'm not so sure this would be a very durable sled long term with the front end issues I have been reading about...............

I'm 260-270lbs (depends on lunch) and I pound the sh$t out of my XTX at mostly high speed..on and off trail....I have over 3000km and have broken nothing....and I've bounced off of rocks and hit small trees off trail and everythings still intack

Mighty, You know yourself that you can't believe everything said or wrote. No sled out there is indestructable. When guys are bending and breaking stuff they are hitting hard. Not landing properly etc. NO doubt, No lies, this is best sled Yammi has built to date. It may not have the complete top end of the big brother but the better handling and the versatility fun factor of the XTX outweighs the 5-10 mph top end. If you are a lake runner than maybe it's not for you. However, if like to combo it up here and there than it should be a no brainer. Good luck with your decision. Just my 2 cents, I'm thrilled!

Amen....but the loss of top end coming from an attak is not noticible
