Trying to find out if the ECU would be destroyed running the 7.0 ohm Apex handwarmers on an 05 RX1. The RX1 is wired in series the Apex wired in parallel. I know that in 06 there was a wire kit to turn the 06 Apex from series to parallel because of power loss but the 06 grips were 1.8-2.2 ohms .Updated grips are 7.0 ohms. RX1 is 1.4-1.8 ohms res. Any help would be appreciated and also if anyone knows if there is a resistor or diode in the 06 wire mod kit

Wire your grips in parallel, it will work fine.
I have updated 06 Apex bars on mine.
The 05 Rx1 bars arent that low a resistance.
They are about 3.6 ohms total, or 1.8 ohms each.
The 7 ohms in parallel ends up 3.5 ohms, almost exactly the same.
They work well.
There is just wire in the update kit, no discreet components.
You do want a taller riser with the Apex bars, they dont have a rise built into the bars.
Have a 6" on mine, it is perfect!
