Apex, broke tab on tank cover that holds side panel.. help??

i need a new tab now because side cover locks itself in place under tank cover. i lost the tab..

what kind of tab should i glue there and what kind of glue will bond forever? thanks

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. Mine were already cracked almost all the way through. They were like that when I bought my sled last month

When I took mine apart this last week, both my tabs broke off.

What I plan on doing is epoxying a new strip of plastic to the backside to replace the old broken tab, then I'm going to add an additional dzus clip (quarter turn clip) to fasten the glossy tank cover to the side palstic. It will look kinda like the photo below.

Shouldn't cost morer than $20

just fixed mine the other night. you need quicksetting plastic epoxy (home depot, lowes) and some plastic pieces. i actually epoxied 2 pieces of plastic together to make a mushroom and then epoxied it to the underside of the cover. had to open up the slot in side panel to get it to fit up and allow the 1/4 turns to line up.

I just put a big plastic push pin in.
They come in gloss black and looks factory.

I just took a lock washer that was a little smaller than post,opened it up,slid it over the post,
and closed it with the pliers.
works great! takes about 2 minutes.
didn't loose a post or any problems for 2 years now.
