The sled acts normal until after riding for an hour until temps get into 180's. Then every time I slowly rev to 4000 rpm it acts like a rev limiter. after 4000 it's fine but when coming to a stop sign and sled is slowing down and rpms come down to 4000 it back fires. I've changed plugs, fixed a melted wire for one of coils. Thought that was problem and went for a ride and again after getting warm started doing it again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Im having the same problem with my 2006 ER. I have changed plugs, changed the gas and the problem remains. It started 2 weeks ago and I have continued to drive it. Now when I turn the key to the on position the yellow dash light and the picture of the engine flash and don't stop. If you find the problem please post. I'm taking mine into the shop Monday.

I had the exhaust donuts replaced 1500km ago. I wouldn't think that is the problem but you never know.

i have the power commander 5 on it and while sitting there i can see jumping around on the gauge. i have had a code 84 (t.o.r.s.) go on before. If that was the case it wouldn't rev over 4000 rpm correct? once i get pass 4000 it's fine

sounds like a tors issue. try bypassing it then go from there

TORS would limit the RPM's, these sleds run great at speed.
Have you tried elimanting the PC5 from the equation? Your ECU may not like the PC5.

Thats hard to do on the trail Steiner. I'm going to do some test on the t.p.s. tonight. If it was the TORS it would let me rev past 4000 which it does. After riding for awhile i can sit there and watch the t.p.s. volts on my lcd screen bounce around. But like i said before there was a couple of times where code 84 came on and I had to pull to the side of the trail until light shut off which only took a few seconds. You know when the TORS is going. Maybe bad coil? I'll go do some test and let you know. Keep the ideas coming. This was a little embarassing riding with 2 skidoo guys.

Read my recent post it may help I was having the same issues cruising would cut out and occasionally while on the throttle hard just a idea. I messed with plugs took my PC3/Ing Module out everything and still did it. I'm hoping what I posted works it did on the stand and hope it helps one if not all of you it was a real PITA

Ok the latest. Put apex in diag mode, close throttle 16, wfo throttle 90. Here's the kicker with pc5 disconnected wfo is 97. What the hell is that? Tried calibrate throttle position on pc5 and it didn't change anything.

ok after looking at the adjusted trims after some runs from this weekend trim level at 4250 rpm and 2% throttle column to be -44. 4000 rpm at +2 and 4500 rpm at -8. It does make sense. When I first start to ride the trim levels are all at 0 as I ride and autotune does it's thing it adjust and comes up with that.
