Here are some pictures of additions that I have made to my Apex Ski's! I ran the same way on my 04 Warrior and they worked very well! First a pair of SkiWheelz modified to fit from the Warrior, second a set of Custom made (Ski Fins/Scratchers) Combination, Third a section of SS pipe for Anti- Darting!

I made a set on the 04 Warrior and they worked extremely well considering the older RX's liked to overheat especially if there were low snow conditions. When I first put them on the Warrior back in 2005 I tested them on a lake up in Quebec and noticed a 4 MPH gain on the DM. Increased lubrication to the Hyfax and improved cooling! I would not ride without them! The Hyfax last much longer! The new ones on the Apex incorporate a "Scratcher Tip" on the bottom of the piece which protrudes an 1/8" below the bottom of the side of the ski. The idea is to get more lubrication on to the Hyfax! The 2011 Apex that these are going on do not have the overheating issues of the older RX's but the Hyfax does wear rapidly. I also added 2 additional sets of wheels to the skid! I just finished putting these additions on and won't be riding again until next season. I ride in Maine and I'm from Connecticut.

The wheels are spring loaded in the up position (Just the way you see them in the pictures). When you have to go on blacktop (No snow) you manually engage them into the down position and they lift the ski's off the ground. You are now on the wheels saving your carbides! I have gone up to 50 MPH on them! When you get back into the snow they retract automatically with the spring tension back to the up position!
