Attak. More stable at speed, tracks like an arrow. Plus you are already use to 136 inches.

Having ridden with the TY group in Manitoba, my advise would be the Attak. The kind of riding you do up there is PERFECTLY suited to the Attak. Great ride , long legs for fast running, with good fuel mileage

I came off a RX1 '05 121" to a APEX L-TX 136" and wouldn't go back to 121", I ride in the same conditions you do and what a difference in handling and stability, I racked -up 6300kms this year and enjoyed every 1 of them! 136" is the way to go for long rides and high miles and it also rides smoother in rougher stuff...

Go with the long track man. You will have NO regrets except that you didn't do it sooner.

what a crock of S**t...The Apex Gt is far more nimble..96 studs and your good to go for some wide open throttle runs down a lake..With less track mass you also go faster in the long run...Wave the long track as you scream on by..Have a break at the end of the lake...Maybe have a smoke..get out a thermos...Have a coffee..Hot choclate..Pretty soon the bus will show up..

I'll give it to the Apex in the really tight twisties and maybe a few MPH's way on top but that's it. The Attak/LTX out performs the shorty everywhere else. Do a poll and see how many guys that went 136 will never go back to 121...........Apex_GT said:what a crock of S**t...The Apex Gt is far more nimble..96 studs and your good to go for some wide open throttle runs down a lake..With less track mass you also go faster in the long run...Wave the long track as you scream on by..Have a break at the end of the lake...Maybe have a smoke..get out a thermos...Have a coffee..Hot choclate..Pretty soon the bus will show up..

The biggest supporter of the 121 I know is stretching his RTX to 136 over the summer. Another bud that just spring ordered a Nytro is stretching it to 136 before it even hits the snow. What's that tell you? Like I said, do a poll and see the results for yourself.........

SUPERTRAX last year had a write up on a APEX vs ATTAK and they couldn't get the APEX to out run the ATTAK...ATTAK was out performing the APEX out of the box, then they clutched and re-tuned the APEX and even at that the ATTAK was still faster!!!
I'll try to find the write-up I found it pretty interesting, I myself ran against a few APEX 121" and had more top end,I agree in twisties it takes getting use to, with the proper set-up the difference is very modest...I don't think I'd go back to a 121".

A friend of mine used to own a warrior and didn't like the push in corners. He then test road an Attak and Apex side by side. He still felt the Attak push. He bought the Apex. He is now is in the process of ordering a new sled. It will again be a 121 Apex. The 121s are more lively (throw-able) in the turns (if you like that). If you gear a 121 the same as the 136, it will out run it every time (assuming equal studding).

Had an '04 Warrior Ltd. Next one was 06Apex Rtx. Couldn't wait to get rid of it and go back to 136. Just my .02.

I own a 06 attak and bought my son a 06 apex gt. Love my attak, wouldn't trade it for any sled, son thought it was too heavy. He loves his apex, both are awesome and you can't go wrong with either.
Attak is a little bit heavier in the twisties, apex a little more loose in the back end, especially when snow gets a little soft and its pinned.
As far as top end they are neck and neck.
For what its worth I am 50 and like the smoother ride of the attak, son is 17 and likes the nimbleness of the apex.

So the lesson here is if your old and slow go with the long track..If your young and like to race go with the Apex..

I have a 2007 Apex RTX and my dad has a 2007 Attak Gt. Honestly, on the trails when we switch I don't even notice that his track is longer. I think only 4" extra makes contact with the ground. In the powder he can't really go much further than I can. I think the biggest difference is that his bridges bumps better. On top end I go by him every time, both sleds stock and unstudded.
