I took my Apex up to St Regis Falls in northern NY this week with a bunch of freinds to ride . They have to be the best trails ive ever ridden in my life . Miles and miles of beautiful scenery , with a perfect mix of twisties and long straightaways . . My Apex showed me what it was designed for . All i can say is WOW . Ive never had a chance to really stretch its legs out on the trails around home so i took full advantege up there . We had the chance to be the first sleds to touch at least 70 miles of freshly groomed trails , My Apex handled like a go cart with a nascar engine . I am in love !!! .
Anyways i needed to let you folks know If you ever happen to be in Upstate NY look up a place called Deer Vally Trails and give them a calll . . Very nice people , nice lodging . AWSOME food , and theres nothing like eating lunch and watching 30+ deer right outside your window . . Nature at its finest .

Actually , Its not very far from south colton i guess , never been there but saw it on the map . its about 40 minutes from saranac lake . The reg. fee for NY is $100 and you need ins. too no special trail pass required though .

Join a club, $20-$30 Join a club, plus a NY Reg of $45. If you dont join a club its $100. They get you there, so they want ppl to join clubs and support our trails/clubs.

You're right. I ran doo's for decades, but honestly, after a few thousand miles, I just never had that good feeling anymore about our typical 200 mile Saturday rides on all my previous 2 smokers...as after a while, odds were, somebody fails and gets towed, even though my doos treated me very well. I used to sell them after 2-3000 miles to avoid problems.
I just don't have that concern with these 4 strokes...sure, I might bust a suspension arm, or like my bud, rip off the a arms (he rode back 90 miles from Redfield to the truck anyway with the ski dragging..lol), but it's like the engines get sad when some other part might (repeat, might) have an issue, cuz all these things want to do is run, and run hard..day after day...gotta love that.

I am the VP of my local club in Moriah NY but thanks for the advice , by all means join a club , it does save you $ and it does put a little more $ in the hands of the folks maintaining the trails .
To join a club simply log onto NYSSA.ORG and follow the steps provided .
;)!
