I've had a few Seat Jacks over the years on various machines (MZX800X, 500 Deluxe, Mach1). My main reason for purchasing the unit was to carry gas. In Northern Alberta I used to do long 300-400 kms trips and I found the Seat Jack ideal for carrying an extra 25 liters of fuel or other items. I liked the quick removal of the unit, leaving just the two rails, when not needed.
Couple of times used it to carry a passenger but then only for short jaunts as the padding wasn't the most comfortable.
Not sure how they mount on an Apex, thinking above the rear of the seat away from the exhaust. If I had known the Seat Jack was available for the Apex when I bought mine I would of bought it rather than the flimsy, non-removal Yamaha rack I ended up getting and breaking.

I also have the Jack Seat for my 06 Attak. Royal Distributing out of Ontario has handle extensions for $60 CDN. I have yet to order them but I think it would help with being able to reach the handles.
