apex mnt for low elevation riding

i recently purchased a 2006 apex mnt and is mostly stock except for a gold finger lefty throttle and barkbuster front end, track was ported, any advise on what to do for clutching and gearing for trail riding in wisconsin? i think the primary spring is yellow pink yellow, and has 20-40 gearing.

run the stock gearing it will top out at about 96 or so, stock apex short track clutching will get it realy close to start with.
