waiting for my red apex mountain. has anyone ever heard of putting an autostart on a yamaha fourstroke sled? there are rummors of guys putting them on the rx1 mountain to help out in a cold weather camp situation. sounds kinda handy

you might be able to do it on a fuel injected sled like the apex but it won't work on an rx1 unless you got something in that autostart kit that can pull the choke on and shut it off as it warms up, Ken.

not worried about personal comfort. i am more concerned with the sled's ablity to start when im out caribou hunting for a week and wake up one morning and its 40 below

If I wake up to 40 below I just go back to bed, Ken.

40 below????I'm not getting out of bed at -25 and thats a fact Stupid Apex is so light it just fell on its side LOL

I would assume that it would be easy, they hook into the key wires and just turn on the ign. and power up the starter. when started they check the rpm the make sure they fired off and still runnig. Most have a cold weather setting that will run for 10-20 min every couple of hours. Size- about the same size as a vcr tape. Price $100 on up

I'll take a couple of close ups tomorrow and put them here..Heres one
