Just put mountain bars on my 06 Attak, took it for a ride last night and my throttle was sticking and I got code 84. I repositioned the throttle but still got the code. I'm wondering, is there enough throttle cable (there has to be) and could I run it through the loop in my handlebars?
Any advise appreciated, thanks

Try getting creative in rerouting your cables. I now run all of mine underneath the bar and they are alot longer than you think.

I'll try it today. I re-routed my throttle cable and just cruised a few miles, seemed to work. I'll be on trails today so we'll see how it does.

How long is the mountain riser? what year did you buy or better yet what part #. I have a 07 attak and it is 6 inch stock. Want about 2 more inches......Hey, sound like my wife LOL. Oh well.

I think they are 07 Apex Mountain handlebars, they are about 2 inches or 3 higher. It makes some difference but not a whole lot. Easier to ride while standing up.

The mountain riser is about 2 inches higher than the Stock 08 riser. I believe the 06 riser was a bit shorter. I have the mountain riser on my 08 and it is just nice for me. I went with the mountain throttle cable as well. Having the throttle stick open in a turn was not something I wanted to happen. If you go with the riser and bars you will gain about another 2 inches. Not sure if the brake line and wiring will reach but I'm sure someone here has that answer.
