Apex mountian bar riser?

Has anyone tried a MTX riser on a regular Apex? Looks like it is 2 inches higher than the one on my XTX. I'm thinking it will work with just the longer bolts and keep the factory look??

I added a MTN riser to my '06 GT. It was good, but not great (I'm 6'3") At that point all I used was the longer bolts. Rode it a couple times, but still wasn't high enough if I stood up.

So, I got a 2" Powermadd & stacked it on top of the MTN riser. Then I had to get special bolts from Fastenal at $8/ea (that sucked) But... now it's great for me. Still comfortable sitting, & I can stand without hunching over.

I did bypass the TORS because the throttle cable is just a bit snug at full lock, but doesn't open the throttle. So it's fine, but I know TORS would have went off.

With just the MTN riser, no TORS issues. Big thing is how tall you are & if the MTN riser will be enough.

Thanks, that's wanted to know. I'm 5'10" so it should be perfect. I just ordered a WRP seat so want to rise the bars a little. The handle bar pad still fits??

I just ordered my WRP seat for my 13' also and was thinking of the same riser.
5'10 also.

I just ordered the riser and bolts. Will install everything over the summer. This should make the sled just about perfect for me....

I have the Mtn Riser on the wifes 06 GT, didnt think she would like it an was gonna switch back until she rode on some rough trails an was able to stand an ride.. Ilike it also..
