Apex not running right

I highly doubt there is anything wrong with the intake temp sensor unless it has been physically damaged. Why not just check it through diagnostics?
Hello There are a lot of grounding plugs on this sled that may have moisture in them or not making contact A few years ago my Attak was doing funny stuff and that was the problem I found all of them with the help of this web site and soldered them Pain in the butt to do but may be worth the time Good luck

I've already done that- 74 nitro -and the first time was 22 ( intake temperature sensor) and 84 ((tors) but neither have came on afterwards except when I manually make them..

Was the reading of the iat correct?

Probably the best way I can explain how it is running is.. back in the carbonator days of my mudd trucks ,if you retard the timing it would run like this..hope that makes sense..
Or it's running on the rich side, maybe a leaking injector..

Oh,, if you're talking about the temperature sensor after I cleared the code it hasn't came back on except when I unplugged it manually but went off when I plugged it back in..
I have not checked it for resistance..

If u go into diagnostics through the dash, it will tell u the iat reading.

If u go into diagnostics through the dash, it will tell u the iat reading.
Check it like this;
Turn kill on with key off.
Hold select and reset buttons down and turn key on, do not release buttons until dash changes. (usually about 8-10 seconds)
After dash changes press the same two buttons again until dash changes again. (usually just a few seconds)
Use select button to scroll up, when you get to 5, iat temp is displayed. 6 is coolant temp.
If you go back through my posts from about 2-3 weeks ago I explain how to test for spark through diagnostics.

Thanks Nitro
I was thinking that's what you was talking but wasn't sure how to check it. Will check tonight.
Definitely will search your post from earlier to check spark also.
Thanks ...
I'm always worried that I'm going to change a setting when I get in dia so I don't mess with much there..

If you want to do some old school testing here is what I would do. Drive the sled around for a few minutes, then kill it and pull all the plugs. See if they all appear the same.

low oil sensor will not throw a code it can be unplugged the whole life of the machine and you would never know it. it makes contact when oil is low so unless the connection is made in the dipstick for low oil the sensor wont trip a light. is there any sign of moisture in the oil? have you tried to just take it for a 30 mile beat run to get it up to full temp to dry out everything. with no codes I would suspect its just a moisture issue. is the shop heated is the machine thawed out? is the idle air tube kinked or part frozen going to the air box? or is your stator starting to fail and it just has not thrown a code yet. may have to ride it to get it to come to a head. I am quite sure the sensor is not bad because the code comes up when you unplug it but is there moisture in the plug causing faulty readings? just some thoughts.

Thor, my shop is only heated when I'm I'm it , but it's had plenty of time to thaw out.. good idea on checking that tube...we have good snow now so I'm taking for a run this weekend..

Well I'm still at a lost, did a 15-mile ride and it's still running the same way so I just turned around and came back to shop.. still starts no problem idols and runs but just boggy and don't feel right..nothing out of the ordinary on the ride no backfire ,coughing nothing. Did a total tear down. Exhaust headers and pipes look okay nothing obvious. Did a plug check and number 2 plug look brand new like maybe it hadnt been running but it was not wet or anyting 1, 3 and 4 all looked alike..pulled all 4 injectors and did a test and cleaning , all had a good spray pattern.I also did a spark test the way nitro explained in a previous post and all 4 plugs had spark. I really hate to put it back together without finding something obvious..the only other obvious thing was after the ride I had moisture in my air cleaner again right at the end of the crankcase vent tube

Maybe moisture in the air box is coming from a head gasket leak?
