Apex won't start changed plugs and battery. It just turns over with the engine symbol flashing and the warning light. There seems to be no codes. The last few times I rode it was hard staring turned over for a few seconds then fired now it won't fire at all.

If the check engine light is flashing while cranking there is a code being displayed. The ecu will not store an unrepaired code so you cannot look it up in diag mode.

How do you tell what code it is then?

A number will be displayed on the meter when you turn the key on, or in some cases while cranking.

I don't recall seeing a number , what are you calling the meter maybe I'm not looking at the rite spot. The only other thing I saw was the symbol that kind of resembles a spark plug. I'm not near the sled but will be going out this weekend to look at it . Hopefully I can figure out what's wrong before season is over. Thanks for any help !!

Same thing mine did, would start and not start for a few weeks, absolutely no codes, almost drove me crazy. Finally displayed code 12 Stator or crank case sensor. It is usually the crank case sensor that goes but is part of the stator. Found lots of used ones for a $100.00 bucks only takes about one half hours to change also need gasket. Check resistance on crank sensor which is likely the culprit. Do a search lots of info on testing it and how to change.

Do you think a volt meter gauge would show symptoms of the stator or crank sensor going would it while riding ? I have a built in voltmeter and it reads a steady 13.8 to 14.1 as soon as it starts and will stay that way all day. If the system wasn't A1 I wonder if the voltage would jump around when running.
