Can someone tell me if buying a 121 to 136 rail extensions WITHOUT the slider extension is a no no or not? Found a set in Canada that doesn't extend the hifax just extends the rear wheels and was wondering if these were no good compared to the kind that do.

No buddy?

Having the hyfax extend to the rear would better of course but I find that there is not excessive wear at the very rear of the skid as compared to the very front and the middle.

I ran an Apex XTX. 2 full seasons with 141 hyfax (dealer screwup). The last few inches of hyfax showed zero wear. Rear wheels must pick up quite a bit of the load. I'd say go for it !
