Has anyone replaced the rear shock on an rtx with a fox float. Mine is getting weak and need to either replace it or rebuild it. I'm hoping there's a float that will work. Thanks Maxdlx

I wish somebody would chime in on this one, I have always wondered the same.

Ya. Absolutely.
I have replaced my stock kyb shock in my 06 rtx with the fox mega float.
This will be my 3rd season on the megafloat. About 4000 miles on it so far.
I like it more than the stock kyb

Well mine is a 07 with the ck skid so no float for me. Wondering if there's an ohlins or axis or something out there.
07-09 RTX had kyb dual shock set up. I don't think Fox makes a float that fits the ck, there are not many of them out there, so market is very small, manufactures never made many aftermarket options, leaving you only a revalve and rebuild as an option. Go with a multi stack revalve and rebuild, it made a world of difference to my skid. Check out the sticky at the top of the apex forum by Rex. I use his setup very happy with it. I also use a Hygear dual stage spring on the front skid shock..... now if I could only get this skid to turn a track as efficiently as a Mono......

Thanks snowbiscut. Just what I needed to know. I really missed this site and snowmobiling the last 3 years.
