I am about to install an apex jack to my 06 apex and wondered if there were any interesting details I needed to know before I get to it... thanks

When I installed mine, I did not cut the rear bumper trim piece as described in the instructions. Instead, I just drilled the holes as required and installed the brackets while forcing the trim piece down. I'm glad I did that as I no longer have the seat-jack, therefore I didn't have to buy a new trim piece.

How good or bad is this idea? What are the result? When I installed mine, I did not cut the rear bumper trim piece as described in the instructions.
