apex stud pattern

looking for a good stud pattern for 216 studs for a 136 inch tracked apex any ideas open to suggestions i figure that would give me 4 studs on each row just trying to figure out best placement for best traction

I would avoid the outsides at all costs if you're expecting it to handle well trail riding. Other than that, studs at/near the center don't penetrate very well.

Most will start with a template (there are several available very reasonably) and maybe modify it slightly.
