Has anyone ever calibrated a tach on the apex or rx1. I did on my 2002srx and it read over 200 rpm high. This could be why some people are saying their apex runs better at a higher rpm.

Wouldn't it be reading low if it was off and guys had to increase RPM to get it to run better? If they had to decease the RPM's to under teh suggested Power band then I'd say you right they are reading to high.

Well... if Yami's tachs are as accurate as their dreamometers. (I don't mean that as a smart-a$$ed comment, but as a serious statement as to Yami's apparent approach of purposely calibrating their speedometers to read fifteen to twenty percent high, providing wrong, deceptive, and unacceptably inaccurate speed readings... IMO!) – Roy

Dirk,If my tach was reading 10500 then the motor would actually be spinning 10300 or less if it was 200 or more high. One clutch kit is spinning around 11000 on the tach,so if it is actuallyreally spinning 10800 or 10700 that would make sense why it runs so good.
