As the subject states I am just wondering for sure if there is a difference in the approach angle of the two. I have heard rumors that it is shallower on the XTX just wanted to check for sure.
Like to the get the XTX and go with the 1.75 crossover. I have the 08 RTX with the 1.5 Intense, now I am thinking about something even better for off trail riding.

By looking at the pixs of both skids on yamahas web site I'd says yes the XTX has a better aproch angle

A sure sign of telling for me is:
skidoo drivers fit on a shortie with no modifications.
if you try em on an xtx you have to modify the drivers or rail tips.
also xtx will not ratchet with stock drivers no matter how loose you run the track.

Thanks for the info guys. Is it not written any where what the exact angle on both is? I also have the full Excell Exahust, K& N Filters, Power Commander and Ulmer Stage 1 Clutch kit. Turk am I right in saying that all this will fit on the XTX?
