I just installed a new track in my brothers Rx-Warrior, it came from a 07 Crossfire 700..

Look at the differences in the track...

Yamaha track is not fully clipped

Artic cat track is fully clipped and has raised areas where the bogie wheels ride,

I bet these raised rubber areas will help the yamahas with slide wear..

I had same track on my 07 firecat and i agree that probably would help with wear. I know my cat was a lot better on hyfax than my apex. The reason for those bumps were supposidly for quiteness.

Actually the track off the Crossfire is called the quiet track, it helps with the noise that the long track ripsaws produce..Not saying that it won't help with slider wear...

The CAT track has those bumps to bridge the gap between the track bars that create the noise when rotating at higher speeds, it seems to work somewhat...don't know if its going to help for wear on your slides but keep us posted.

I installed that track last year, and can tell you that those little ramps do not help slide wear. I had less issues with slide wear with the oem track than this cat fully clipped.

The quiet track is quieter though.I had been running one on my sled for two seasons.

Now I have the 1.5" 2.86 pitch skidoo track. Its definatly not as smooth and quiet as the old track. But I love the traction, especially braking.

I am running that track on my Apex Gt extended to 128" and slide wear is a bit better over stock track. This is simply due to the quiet blocks as they allow for more clearance between the slides and track clips. Another benefit to this track is noise reduction along with less vibration if running studs over stock track.

The fully clipped track helps slide wear.
More open windows.More snow in,more air flow, more clips to dissapate heat.My Ski-doo has open windows and road riding does not seem to hurt it compared to my GT.In the same short distance the GT will start melting the slides.

Less clipped track (closed windows) rubber adds friction as track rotates and rubs on sliders adding to heat buildup.

Quiet track design has been used by Cat for several years now its nothing new.

Nubs fill the gap between lug rows and skid wheels roll easy all the way as track rotates.

Non quiet track designs the skid wheels drop into gaps between lug rows because there is no support there and this is where Cat tracks addressed some of the the vibration issues.

My sled has that track and it still eats sliders worse than any other sled I've owned (first Yamaha).
Install these (pic). I had a 05 vector and ate slides till I installed these.
