arctic cat xf1100 turbo?

Because we say this every year that they are going to have a turbo nytro and lighter and this and that, ya they have a turbo but dealer installed and another 5grand for it.

You sound like a whiner. You ask advice then blow off everyone's opinion, because no one says 'get a cat' which is what you want to hear... You're already set for a cat, enjoy.

Was thinking the same thing.

I am looking at the 13s more so what i read they fixed alot on them, I want a turbo not a s/c and don't wanna spend 7500 to buy it and get it installed. don't need a new sled just i can if i want too.

If you already have a good reliable sled, why not wait till Febuary to see what Yamaha surprises us with? Would suck to go Cat, and find out Yamaha releases a turbo right after you buy the Cat? Just an idea

Perhaps you did not understand what I was trying to convey earlier. The Cat is not cheap as we were hoping. You can sink just as much into them as a Yamaha or a Ski-Doo, but the time you buy the tune, exhaust, chain and gears, stronger shafts, motor mounts, gauges, extroverts and on and on you could have boosted a good machine.

Now were finding out the shortcuts Cat took with the Procross. All the stuff that's breaking and wearing out in one short year with no snow! The thing is a heavy piece of crap to put it bluntly, but go ahead, I had to find out first hand myself too. Don't say we did not warn you! It surely has power, but that is where it ends IMO.

Thats why i went turbo, kept waiting for yammi to bring it,but they never did,oh ya power steering,at what another 20 lbs. who can say based on a few guys hitting the upper elevations of the big mts. and you know all those guys are stock right!! And they dont beat on #*$&@... so how many guys on here really had the procross chassie to prove just how bad they were, besides mike,he has posted over and over just how good his doo is,so we will move on,one guy had a belt break in half, you would think it was every cat turbo out there, set up by dealers is critical, and we all know that, but look at all the guys who had no problems, only the guys who had problems are on here telling everyone about there POS,thats on every site, how come we dont hear all the good things about everyones sleds, this goes for dootalk,HCS and this site, until you have ridden one, dont give advise based on what you heard from a friend who heard,i remember hearing all about how this one ton was so slow any 500-600 2 smoke could blow its doors off, well thats just not true,i have owned yamaha sense they came out in 03,yup had my share of problems like most of us have, none are perfect, try what your gut feels, not just what you were told,i only have 14 miles on mine in a field,so i cant say,but it feels way lighter than any of my apex's it may only be 60lbs but it feels 100 lbs lighter, for me it was time for a change.

Pete right. You know there are issues. You posted a lot in the HCS threads about the '12 Cats. To each his own. Hope it treats you better than the Confusion did.

Hey guys going to ask on here i know its a yamaha site but seems pretty neutral usually, anyways i want more hp in my sled but don't want to spend 7500 for a mcx turbo for the sled. so now i am looking into a pro climbe xf1100 turbo high country and would get the dealer to do clutching exahust and programmer from the start and have warranty on it. was wondering how it will be going from my clutched exhaust nytro, i love my instant hit and bark of the nytro for sure. not sure what to do either to get a cat or just keep riding the nytro and im not going to put a turbo on the nytro so don't say to do that its already 3 years old id just sell it to my dad since he sold his last year. any problems with these sleds how do they ride.

Go ahead and get one...

You'll be back

I say try one and report back. Do you know anyone with one that you can try out? Maybe the dealer has a demo you could ride? That's where I'd start.

Maybe you'll like it better than your Yamaha, maybe not. Only you can decide that. Who cares what anyone else thinks. And I have no time for brand loyalty -- all 4 sled makers build good sleds. They all have plusses and minuses, but are generally are very good nowadays -- and all are expensive too.

I hope your Cat treats you well Pete, but 5 of us bought new Cats last season, of those, 3 sold the Cats and are back on Doos and the other two are Die hard Cat guys and dumping a whole bunch more money into them this year, one of the Cat guys bought a new 2013 in hopes it'd be better and is installing extros and 136" track right off the bat along with about another $2500 worth of goods into it. As you'll find out, they are not cheap and easy to make right and drop their value rather rapidly. There's a reason for that! Let us know how your's makes out after this season.

Well in the count of sleds I saw broke on the trail last year, Arctic cat took the lead early in the year and kept it! Blown belts are nothing. I saw 1100's that in the process of blowing belts bent jackshafts, broke driveshafts, secondary clutches grenading. All of this from trail riding. Helped pull one guy off the trail last year and he was pissed he just got his sled back from the dealer for a broken driveshaft, just to have the secondary break. Parts were impossible to get as well. Season is too short to be sitting at home waiting for parts.

I tried out an 1100 turbo f cat last march. It had about 800 miles on it. Per the owner, sled was on first belt and hadn't had any of the rumored "issues" the cats were having. The sled wasn't to my liking, but I could see why people might like the sled.

Thanks guys and super sled,i just hope mine is ok,so far so good,i had not heard till now anyone having a problem with a driveshaft, but thats not to say it did not happen, but lets hope 2013 is better, now on another note, my new kitty is in very good shape as far as fit and finish is concerned, but to your surprise, you know what my biggest bitch is, cats D-Z clips, they dont work like yamahas do,and i had never had a problem hooking or unhooking my yammie d-z clips on any of my apex sleds, but this cat is another breed of its owne, lol,ya it has d-z clips, they dont work like yammis do,but the chassie does come apart much easier than my apex did,and the fit and finish is very good, may i say almost as good as yammie, the gage is close to,i do like its dule personality, seat is not as soft, but you dont sink as low into it either, and it is easier to move about on,and i get a hot azz heater, and spaeking of heaters,my hands are melting, man hand warmers are to hot for me,and ya,windshield and mirrors, they mount on shield, and it works, i can see. Well dont want to bore you with cat #*$&@,so i will move on,hey we all have one thing in common, snow,so let it snow!! :drink:

My buddy has a '13 Turbo and likes it so far. I've not had a chance to ride it but it sounds great with the Turbo Dynamics 3" exhaust. He had an 800 Pro-climb last season and didn't have all the issues and problems that seem to be so prevalent on the internet. All sleds have issues, I don't care what brand you buy. Buy what you like and stay off the internet if you don't want to know what a POS it is. :tg:
