Need to buy a stock ECU for my 2009 XTX. I heard somewhere that the later model ECU's had a fix for the low power heated grips in the earlier models?

Looks like all are interchangeable, still wondering if the later model units will repair the weak heated grips on my early model.

From what I have read the 2012 & up we’re not much better. Yamaheater seems the way to go or invest in real good gloves and gauntlets.

Being an unbeliever, I installed yamaheaters and RSI grips at the same time on my 2010. Found out that was too hot. I took the yamaheaters off and my RSI grips do the job alone. Yamaheaters or RSI grips, or a reflash on the ECU are your options imo.

Industry leading 4 stroke engine technology with heated grips made by Fisher Price! Thanks Yamaha.
The heated grips did get better in 2012 not sure if that was do to programming in the ecu.

I have the 2012 and grips are fine. Very rarely turn them all the way up except when below 0 deg F. Then up initially then back off alittle.
