as anybody had to cut down saddle rubber to fit carbid stud

I just installed c&a outlaw skis on my attack and had to cut down the rubber saddle boot to get the carbide studs through seems to work and the skis elimanated all darting ...thank god!!! YES they are the correct mounting rubbers too.......... Now i think i need to shim the skis to get the carbids to wear even seem to be wearing the rears down way to fast fronts are still like new any advise??????

I used to run C&As on my v-max, and I had to notch the rubber for front and rear carbide bolt.
