Hello Guys,
A buddy offered to sell me a pair of brand new pilot 5.7 skis with 7 1/2" Stud Boy shaper bars for $150... so, I couldn't resist! I just came from the garage after looking at how to mount them up. I did a search and the best info was in the following post:

Anyhow, if looks like reversing the metal grommets that fit in the Pilots (this is the way the Yamaha grommets mount in the stock skis) is just about a perfect fit with the stock spacers. I don't have the original Ski-poo mounting bolts so I'm going to use my Yamaha bolts. I was wondering if I should buy the Skidoo rubbers for the skis or just trim the stock rubbers to fit into the Pilots?
Anybody have experiense mounting these skis to the Phazer? I'd like to hear how you did it. Pictures would be outstanding! I'm pretty impatient so I'm going to try to wait until later tonight to see if there is a better way of mounting them before I go trim the stock ski rubbers and slap them on.
Don't laugh, but I just wanted to verify that the side where you could mount the second carbide is the outside of the ski... that's what would seem to make sense but I just figured I'd ask.
Finally, the guy also gave me a set of used carbides that do have some life left in them. Would you recommend mounting up the second set of used carbides on the outside or just try them with the single center carbide first? The skis haven't been drilled for mounting the outside set of carbides so I'm thinking about trying them with just the center carbide to start with.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, push out the metal grommets and install them on the outside, but you will need a washer on the inside to take up a little space. The Ski Bolt works better, the Yamaha will be on the long side.
