Attack overheating

Right, that's the idea. You need to fill in your location, it's site rules. Plus I then could tell you what temp you'll need to be good for. Basically, plan for the worst. If you live were temps never reach below -30*F, well diluting to a 50/50 or 60/40 will be good. I think 60/40 is good to -40 or 50*F. Most on here seem to be going with a 60/40 mix, or -40*F.

Also try doing a search as I've had a few :drink: so my info may be slightly, or way off. You will find tons of info on this topic. You may also find that with the 08' and older Attak/LTX's you may want to invest in a rear cooler from Pioneer or Port Yam. Again it depends on your location.

Hope this helps.

Oh, almost forgot, Welcome aboard! Lots of info here, be prepared to do a lot of reading.

what i did was drain the system(as much as i could get out)
mixed up a batch of 50/50 antifreeze/water. Dumped it in, ran it and bled it to get the air out.
I have not overheated in the 2 years since i did this.
I installed a temp gauge this year just because i am curious but i have not got to use it yet.

sorry it doesn't answer your question but if you are running the stock antifreeze you need to dump that start fresh.

Test it 1st, if it test off the scale (high) you probably have 100% antifreeze...drain 1.5 to 2L and add DISTILLED water ONLY! test it after a half decent ride to make sure everything is well mixed up and re-test it, you want to be around -40 +/- and you'll be good to go and get yourself a good set of SCRATCHERS well worth the money...

I also added a rear heat exchanger for extra insurance and I NEVER overheated once! my fan never came on...

This is what I did . Put in a rear heat exchanger and when I went to fill up the coolent bottle I put in a half a bottle of water wetter and the rest with stright water. Over heating is gone!

Doesn't the Water Wetter directions state to only use 1 or 2 ounces? Or am I thinking of a different product.

Buy a glycol refractometer for checking antifreeze as a bonus it will even tell you the battery charge... These are temperature compensating and will work for both Ethyl and Poly...

replaced with Engine Ice...can run for 20 minutes at 70 degrees and the fan never came on..
