jusr wondering what it could be? at about 30 miles per hour and up it has a wine sound coming from it. i put in new bearings in the case and it still does it. the secondary bearing is fine and so is the lower driveshaft. only thing dufferent is the extrovert drivers. any ideas. seems to do it worse on acceleration and when you let off

Vipers make the same sound. Most people have come to the conclusion that it is mostly the chain tensioner making noise in the case.

rxwhopper,
the more you gear down in the chaincase, the more whine you'll notice. Think of the RPM the reverse idler gear is turning on that little needle bearing! Did you gear down from stock? I notice it more when letting off with the 23/40 gearing, over the stock 23/38 gearing.
