the srx clutch will work but the stock weights from the 4 strokes wont fit in it. any aftermarket weight will.

Like grader said, the clutch from your srx will fit,and a plus to having the srx clutch is more O.D.,as the srx sheeves are thinner and close up more, for a little more overdrive shift out,the down side as stated,is the newer apex weights are to big for the spider,so any of the aftermarket weights will fit though. What happened to the fixed sheeve, was it spider cracks, from heat?yamahaman149315 said:Hi Guys yesterday while out riding my Fixed shive on the primary flew apart i am wanting to go for a ride tomorrow and have a clutch off of a SXR i was wondering if they are the same and would get me by for tomorrow ?? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the fixed sheave on the motor side. If so there should be no problem replacing it with the one from the sxr.

Thats very true, just need the grunt tool,to spin out the spider, and put the srx sheeve in,you may need differant split rings,if i remember right,to add that srx sheeve, the stock split rings are to thick, and you could grind them down,or get the correct ones,as they do come in differant thickness's.the kitchen said:Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the fixed sheave on the motor side.
