I had a 2007 Apex RTX that I added a 13mm sway bar to, floats at 50 LB, limiter strap pulled up two holes, pilot skis, and transfer set at mid way and it handled on rails!

I will be riding a 2007 Attak GT this winter. Right now it is stock and does not handle well. I was thinking of adding a 13 MM sway bar, loosening the shocks so the a arms are level, and pulling the limited strap up one hole. Anyone have any tips to make this thing handle on rails?

Send your shocks to hygear and have them set them up for your riding style. I also read the new tuner skis from yamaha are really good. I'm going to try them this year.

Depending on the trails you ride, you may never get the sled to rail like your RTX did with the extra length out back. But you will be on the right track for sure with the options you've listed.

I installed the 13mm sway bar and promptly took it out. I found there was too much feedback through the bars for my taste. I left the stock bar in with the A-arms slightly above level and found an acceptable balance between ride/handling.

I second the Hygear recommendation. They worked wonders for the ride/handling on my 07 Attak GT. I went with the most expensive option they had at the time (Hi/Low Speed Resi'son the front GYTR's along with Dual Rate Springs and valving to my liking on all three.)

I had my limiter strap pulled in to the second from shortest spot and transfer in the middle.

I ran pilots and loved them... felt like power steering but pushed a little in soft snow.

HTH!
