Prior to this season I had my shock repaired, revalved, and upgraded to the Dual Rate Spring by Hygear. I really didn't have a ride quality problem last season but when I put the Half Baked skid back in I seemed to have lost rebound and had no clicks on the rebound knob.

I exaggerated my weight in hopes of more adjustability within the EC compression range as I previously found I needed the most compression all the time.

Even after the Hygear service my ride height seemed low but I felt like I could plow fast through some heavy junk the first 2 days in QC by riding comfortably on the softest EC setting. After that, while saddlebagging and gathering ice I started to suspect I blew the damn Ohlins again, no matter what I had the EC set on.

Now that I am home and the sled thawed out.
I DO HAVE clicks - not blown?
Ride height still seems low - flap impacts ground when I compress skid
Std limiter strap length has a lot of slack with the sled on the ground.
Plus
It seems my shock is set to too much pre-load (almost 6") and the spring length (both springs measured BETWEEN the end collars) is too short 10 1/8" suspended.
My set in is only 38-40mm.

I feel like I need more ride height but the math says decrease pre-load.
Sorry for the novella. Are Apex GT and Attak GT shocks the same length?

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Jack
