Turning the knob clockwise will slow the rebound, but, you can go to far. You can sack the shock. Which doesn't allow the shock to rebound enough before the next compression stroke. All the way counter clockwise lets the shock rebound the fastest, which gives you the kick back.
If the shock is originally valved to eliminate the kick back a revalve might be needed.
I couldn't get my attack gt right without having the valving changed,and also rider weight is the biggest factor.
