New to the four stroke side. I have a 06 Attack with I think 144 studs (studboy) all singles withcenter and 2 studs on the outside track every 6th window. I took the outside studs out. I tried to find a template of what I have with no luck.
What pattern can I do to my existing pattern OR just leave it alone with center as per picture? What works best for the Attak for Michigan trail riding.
thanks

That looks like the 108 pattern. That ripsaw track has good side bite. I live in northern Wi. and ride the up a bunch also. I ran 136 studs in my attak it is based on the same pattern as yours. It depends on how many studs you want and your riding style. If you just want enough to run on ice and cross roads that have an icy shoulder they will work ok.

That sounds about right because I have 31 studs from the outside. There were a couple that were not in the center.
Can you post a pic of your pattern. Where can I ad to this pattern to make it 136?
thanks

thats a good pattern you have there. it should work good for you. the studs stay along the rails where the pressure is. you should have good scratch lines with that setup providing whoever installed them payed attention to that.
should i add the remaining 31 studs from the outside to the inside and where?

no, not yet. give it a few hundred miles in different conditions. then see if you think you need more. a good pattern with lots of scratch lines is what you want. not alot of studs doing nothing but trenching.
you could spin the track a little on the concrete and count your scratch lines.
picks in the center of the track dont really do what you want them to do because there isnt alot of weight there. the slide rails is where the pressure is on the ice and pack. thats where the studs are gonna bite. i never liked those v patterns you can buy. they dont hook as well as a thought out pattern that stays closer to the slides. avoid the very center of the track
