I have quite a few parts in the basement for my 09 Nytro XTX but I am thinking about adding one more. I have a 1.75 back country track, gen 3 simmon skis, tunnel block off plate, slide saver wheel kit, 3" riser, MBRP trail slip on with header, k&n intake, ulmer clutch, cr10ek plugs, and power commander V ready to be installed. I am toying with the idea on putting on an autotune or just getting a 'out of the box' MAP tune from one of our wonderful vendors.
Any thoughts on this matter? I have tried tried searching for answers but I am still undecided.
Thanks,
Dustin

if you do any type of of trail riding get the backcountry track it is worth it! imo also auto-tune is worth it since you have mods from different manufactures having the autotune dial you into the a/f ratio sweetspots is great! since you have mods similar to mine and you bought clutching from ulmer give him a call he has the tune's for the pc5 and could get you setup with autotune and the appropriate mapping!

Okay great. Do you have a suggestion on where to install the O2 sensor? I heard a couple inches before the muffler. Also, is the autotune a install and forget or is it more a tool to help you dial in the sled?
Thanks for the help,

Thanks for the help,
I have an undertunnel exhaust and my midpipe is were I have the O2 sensor about 2-3" after the 3-1 collector just right before the muffler. Autotune does both, if you get a map from ulmer it should be really close to the optimum a/f ratio and the autotune will pick up the rest, so from there it should be set and forget. if the settings on the pc5 map are a bit off you can use the autotune to adjust the basemap for the pc5 to get it right.

I got a MAP from Ulmer Racing (thanks Allen!) and I signed up for DynoTech Research to get a MAP after taking to the guys there. I was sold with DynoTech being they said they had an exact MAP for my setup, unfortunately I couldn't find it on their website. I emailed sales and hopefully they have what I am looking for. I have the Ulmer Racing tune on the PC5 and will compare it to the DynoTech MAP if one is available. I will install the o2 bung on my MBRP header for either the AutoTune or for an a/f gauge.

dynotech never told me anything like that but I did have a subscription to them last year just to look at the cool mod sleds they were dyno'ing but ulmer has a map that worked for me and was very close to 0 autotune adjustments needed, Ive actually debated taking mine off now to save the little bit of weight that it adds. lol

How complicated is this system to use? Do you load a map and the O2 sensor does the rest? I dont want to run it on the dyno, and I would like to avoid adding a gauge and tuning with that...
