These vipers have always caught my attention and even with reflashes and harsh suspensions.. I still want one. My Indy will be a great second sled and for my kids. I'm still working on my wife ha.
Brap on!

I love mine. The prices right now are fantastic so it's a good time to buy. If you go to the FAQ you'll see some great suggestions on mods and things to look for. Good luck!

Thanks. So much to learn in a short time. Still hard to part with that kind of cash though lol

Yeah, it's always a tough one but for me the viper has been great. The chassis is amazing and is so easy to ride. The mods I did to mine included muffler, clutch kit, 4th wheel kit, and air box mod. I'd drive it stock for a while but there are a ton of easy gains to be had. This sled needs a well charged battery to avoid starting issues so I'd put it on a battery tender when you can. I went on a week trip and put it on only one night but if it sits for a few weeks Id get it on there.

I would definitely be interested in the 4th wheel kit. First thing I did on the Indy to.

I have found the DX ride out of the box to be anything but harsh. 6'2" and 270 freedom units with gear it seems to do well until I really get after it but this was expected and a shock upgrade is coming!
Heated seat is a game changer lol.

Never had a issue with a cold back side lol. But that sled was sold so I guess the search is on. Only one with a turbo around here and a guy is supposed to be picking it up so no luck there either.

Good Luck. I just pulled the trigger on a 16 LTX. No miles yet but have been wrenching on it quite a bit and everything looks good so far. The deals were to good to pass up for me....

I thought the same thing! I thought I would never use it and actually forgot to plug it in for my first ride. Being an active rider who swings weight (too much of it the girlfriend says), it keeps the blood flowing to my lower half and on the long days of rough trails where I will post or stand for stretches it really seems to help with fatigue.

Picked the machine up. Looks in great shape. Forgot how hard these 4 stroke clutches kick in, dude has some rubber on his driveway
Took it for a few laps around my yard. Seems to hit the rev limiter when nailing the throttle, just like my apex did. Was running rough at low throttle to, my apex did some of that to just before I sold it. I also forgot all the other noises underhood of a four stroke. This one doesn't seem as smooth as my apex.
This guy just used regular fuel, I'm not happy with that, I use premium. Im hoping to take it out tomorrow and see how it feels on the trails.

Congrats! I'd run a can of sea foam in the tank to help clean up the fuel system. Once you get it it on the trail let us know your thoughts. 75 psi in the front shocks are a good starting point. Hopefully it came with the shock air pump, if not they are pretty cheap. Good luck!!

If it's all stock it's best to user regular fuel, I beilieve premium doesn't improve much if anything at all. There was a post somewhere explains the differences.

The only reason I use premium is that here in the states, the other grades have ethanol which can build up moisture in the tank. I'm sure it's still fine, I guess I'm just paranoid. If it's all stock it's best to user regular fuel, I beilieve premium doesn't improve much if anything at all. Careful, not all premium is non ethanol.
