A buddy of mine just got a new Gade 800 backcountry with a nice paddle track and now I know for sure my next purchase need to be a good deep lug track for my XTX. I know people are running the backcountry 1.75 after taking the tunnel protectors off. Can I run either of these tracks without the tunnel protector on? If so what are peoples opinions of the two. The challenger says it has a new style, not sure what it is though.
The backcountry doo comes with a 1.75 Where did you see that the challenger has a new style. Link pls. Love to see it.
My understanding is that a 2" on the XTX starts to become a cooler clearance issue. . .if not for the track lugs themselves - then the ability for the snow to properly evacuate from the front of the tunnel between the track and cooler.
also - tunnel protectors need to come out for installing anything deeper than a 1.5" lug. . .

I have a 121" RTX with 1,75" lug height but the next track will be a 144" Challenger 2" height to impreve the offtrail performance
