Yamaha sr viper 15 ltx dx, mpi 190 turbo, straight line header, 38" mtx front end, mtx steering, mtx seat, xtx 141" skid and 2.25" power claw track
2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
I'm looking at tossing in a backcountry track under my soon to be turbo viper, just wondering if there's a difference between the backcountry and backcountry x, if so which one would hold up better to my abuse.

The backcountry only come is a 2.52 pitch. The backcountry x comes in a 2.86 for LTX (137) viper and a 3.0 pitch for a xtx (141) viper. Otherwise same exact track. I have the backcountry x on my 137 viper and absolutely love it. Awesome on and off trail!

I had the backcountry on my 13 nytro xtx and loved it also, but been hearing that the backcountry x on vipers is shedding lugs.

what about the x2 with the 2" lug i have been looking into that one.
My viper is an ltx, but turning into an xtx/mtx each season that goes by, so should state that I purchased a 141 xtx skid, keeping my bigger 9 tooth 2.86 drivers and adding 8.5 or 9" rear wheels should let me run a 146" backcountry x 1.75, I run 50/50 on off trail and feel like 1.75 is the limit for trail.

SNOWNINJA runs that backcountry x2. Hopefully he will chime in but as far as i know he loves it.
I'm aware, I ride with him in the UP

Murdered and Super1c are right on. Ran BCX2 all last year and love it. Lugs are stiff, but not as stiff as snowX version which sheds lugs. Great hookup everywhere. You will have to change tunnel protectors to 3/4" square vs the rectangular ones that are in the LTX. You can order from '15 XTX LE and cut down to LTX tunnel length, or just make em using 3/4" square aluminum. After running the X2, I am glad I went that route. I ride a lot off trail so I didn't put scratchers on yet. If you ride trail more where the snow gets thin, you might think about scratchers.

Thanks SnoNinja I think ill go with the x2 2" as i do a lot of off trail. I looked at my sno-x yesterday and whats left is only 1.5" and lugs missing and cracked off from hard launches
