Did you put everything back in correctly in the chain case? I wonder if it's the track itself?

it works perfectly and as far as i know everthing in the chaincase went back together perfectly..
The vibration only happens at high speeds and is like hitting those things on the sides of the road with your car.. (loud roaring sound)

Brian, I would be looking at the part of the tunnel you can't see without dropping the rear bolts out of the suspension. If you changed the track and studs, there could be a possibility the track is balooning and the studs and/or track could be rubbing on the tunnel protectors? Just a thought?

Take out the studs and try it. How can you say it's not the answer when you haven't tried it to see if it is the answer? I'm telling you. Been there, Done that.
It's either that or put the track back on that came off the sled.
How are you going to know if you don't try? Take out the studs and give it a whirl. You'll never make a good racer if you don't try something different to find a solution to the problem.
You'll either take out the studs and try it, or you'll live with the vibration. TRY IT! All you have to loose is a little bit of time.
The other option is to install Ski-Doo extrovert drivers. This seems to get rid of the vibration also. The studs dont hit them as hard. They do rob a bit of speed vs. an internal drive however.

brian if you installed them correctly as in flush with the track, Im not buying the studs causing this....first....take your two inner wheels out and go run it....just to rule them out...
what about those slider pads..
how many miles on the driveshaft bearing?
where does the vibration seem to come from most....right or left foot...seat?
what track is it it..and is it on the tight side or loose side?

stupid question..how about a new belt?.check your belt and clutch sheaves..
after that...Im taking those inners out for a quick blast and also...not a bad idea to check your tunnel protectors like nate suggested...mine were looked out ....those little brackets can be easily bent..I measured them agains the tunnel...

doubt that would matter...we used to put em on backwards in the old days for more hook...now the wrong pitch...that would!

Yes, but did you see what the tips of the track looks like on a Cobra? It's like the tip of a stud sliced off at a 60 degree angle. I'm not sure what would happen if it was the wrong way.
Welt, which way did you point the arrows.

Welter,
Take a look up in front of your tunnel protectors (above drive shaft) make sure your track is not ballooning out at high speed and eating your tunnel up with the picks.
I had same vibration on hard acceleration and high speeds, ended up being the picks hitting forward of protectors if not that I would take Mr Knapps suggestion

Forgot to add to above post, I corrected the problem by taking two hyfax and cutting them down and then riveting to existing protectors to keep picks off the tunnel.Adds 3/8 of an inch more protection
