Was searching the net to see what is available for the nytro's front end. I came to the timbersled website and they had a front end kit for the fx nytro. I was wondering if anyone on here has ordered this kit and if it would work for normal trail ridding.

The ski center to center is too narrow. Works well on mtn. sleds but makes the shorties too tippy. Nytros come with a 41.3" ski stance. I widened mine even more to help combat the tippiness. Maybe give them a call and see what they say.

I feel the same as you. I wanted to widden the front end not narrow it. I gusse that kit isn't what I am looking for. do you know any companies that make front end widdening kits?

Not to hijack but,,,,, Blueballer, did you change any geometry to update to 09 specs??? Looking to change the angles myself but need to find the changes that Yamaha made first,,,, can anyone help???

I haven't done anything yet, other than 2.5 mm upper balljoint mod. I'd like to get Reaper to rip the frontend out of his 09 XTX so we could compare, but chances are he probably won't go for it. ;):D

I'm trying to be optimistic and plan on riding this season with new spindles, updated lower balljoints, new rubber for my C&A Outlaws, oilite a-arm bushings and revalved shocks. If it's still twitchy and unpredictable, then it may be time to upgrade if Yamaha doesn't come out with an 09 front end conversion kit for us 08 owners.

Thanks for the reply. I already have all the things you listed in the works and want to do the geometry mods as well. I remember somebody posting a Yamaha video in here about the new XTX (IIRC) and the rep was outlining all the 09 changes and he listed the revised angles on the front end. Just that info would be a big help,,,,,,,,
